The organization offers partnerships, scholarships, specialized news and annual conventions for its members, and has chapters around the world to support its participants.
“We welcome the establishment of the WAI Brazil Chapter, our first chapter in South America. Based in Rio, the chapter will provide numerous opportunities for local women in aviation of all ages to connect and engage with one another and be part of our larger international 14,500+ membership group” continues Dr. Peggy Chabrian. “Being part of the Women in Aviation activities at this first IBAS event is a great opportunity to share information about the benefits of being a WAI member. Our goal is to help educate women in Brazil and Latin America about the vast number of career opportunities in aviation and to offer our resources that WAI has been providing to our members since we formally established in 1994 as a nonprofit organization.”
